Hi, here's a comment I got in my Wordpress account. Member of the Alumni din sha and she watched the episode thru TFC. See, it's really sad that even those who are so faraway got so affected by this epsiode of MMK coz somehow, I think they feel kind of helpless since nasa malayo sila. _____________________________________________________
"Hi! UPLB was mentioned twice , UP was like thrice, SCL mentioned 4-6x, Agribusiness twice. The UP diploma was shown on TV with the name Nemie Santino. I was really bothered for the last 2 days since I watched it on TFC.I watched it twice, and I can testify that there was such a strong emphasis on UPLB being the institution that gave her the education. As I’ve been crying out for the last two days, there are a lot of issues in this story..but since some are deeply rooted in society, let’s just tackle the most urgent, most pressing and disturbing issue, i.e.media responsibility. MMK, being known for true life stories, should not have sensationalized - just for lack of knowledge or for any other reason. The claim is a very sensitive issue which should have been consulted with UPLB first. That’s why I was writing for the other blogs…which should they believe, the records from the school itself, or the sister who narrated the story based on her sister’s claim?
If she is still a UPian, that would be no problem. She’s still a family who chose a different path. And as I was saying…it still boils down to each person’s individuality. each one of us chooses the path which we think is for us. MMK was rightfully true in that opening statement….Bawat isa sa atin ang humuhubog ng ating kapalaran.
I’m just a voice crying out loud…Just keep on! Even if you have the littlest seed of faith, and the littlest thread of hope..you can still believe that Someone up there is guiding you, so there is absolutely no reason for us to lose hope! And let’s continue to pray for those who have thought their hopeless lives led them to their muddy destinations…May they open their eyes, and God be with each one of them!" _____________________________________________________
